Open the app, right-click the app icon in the Dock, roll your cursor over Options, and click Keep in Dock. Cameras and computers seem not to like each other. That’s how it’s done with FaceTime, which is pretty easy. Now, click on the Video option in the menu and choose the connected webcam from the dropdown menu. Open the FaceTime app on your Mac from the Dock. Instead of going to your Applications folder to open an iSight app, add the app to your Dock to select it and open it from there. For example, download Oversight, which can tell you when your iSight camera and microphone are active, plus which applications are using it. Click on the Video category from the left pane to find the option to change your default camera for Zoom meetings. Use another app to notify you when apps are using your iSight camera.
